Dune (2021) Crysknife Replica

Techniques: SLA 3D Printing + Curing, Tooling, Detailed Model Painting (Base, Wash, Drybrush)

Description: This replica of the ‘Crysknife’ from Dune (2021) was modeled by Kevin at 3dprintedprops.com and printed by me in 4 parts on my Anycubic Photon M3. I split the blade into 3 parts (to fit the print screen) and added registrations using 3D modelling program Rhino 6 before printing the individual pieces. After printing, ‘Greenstuff’ modelling clay was used to fill the gaps in the joints, before primer and model acryllic paints were applied to recreate the aged ‘sandworm tooth’ visual the Crysknife represents.
